Overview & Highlights

If you're wandering through the charming streets of Rome, make sure to stop by Mari - Prati, an unassuming pizza gem located at Via Fabio Massimo, 46, 00192 Roma RM, Italy. This delightful pizzeria has quickly earned a reputation among locals and visitors alike, thanks to its unique approach of selling pizza by the kilogram. Imagine indulging in a variety of freshly made slices, each offering a burst of flavor that keeps you coming back for more.

As noted by satisfied patrons like Hugh Plunkett, the value for money here is hard to beat. The extensive selection caters to diverse palates, whether you're craving the classic Margherita or something a bit more adventurous. Remarkably, the freshness and taste are comparable to some of the most renowned pizzerias in Italy, but without the hefty price tag. Just as Cécile Van highlights, it's a must-try for those who appreciate quality traditional pizza.

The atmosphere at Mari - Prati might be cozy, with limited seating for small groups, but the lively ambiance adds to the charm of your dining experience. While Blanka Kovács points out the small space, the quick service and delicious offerings make it an ideal spot for a casual lunch or dinner. Just like Ewa Z, many find themselves returning to savor their favorite slices—be it the one topped with savory mushrooms and sausage or a simple yet exquisite Margherita.

All in all, Mari - Prati stands out as a must-visit destination in Rome for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Italian pizza without breaking the bank. With every bite, you'll understand why patrons rave about this local treasure. Grab a slice, relax, and indulge in a true taste of Italy.

Very tasty pizza that you buy by the kg. Very good value with a wide variety of slices that are made fresh. Inside of the shop is small but tables are available for a small group (2-3 people). Would highly recommend as a tasty and wallet friendly meal.

Great sliced pizza, many flavours, recommended for a quick dinner or lunch. Unfortunately not so many seats inside and toilet is not working.

We tried the classic Margherita and it was surprisingly really good. This pizza tasted honestly as good if not better than some of the most hyped similar ones for a fraction of their prices. If you are a “Classic Margherita” type of person, give it a try and make sure you have it warm! We were so satisfied!

Excellent pizza. We usually make our own Italian style pizza in Canada, having been taught by Italian people who were taught by their grandparents. Luvit

Good value for money. I will definitely be back. ******** And so we came back after 3 years and we enjoyed their pizza again:-) My favourite was the one with mushroom and sausage/minced meat. I love the choice of flavours and cheap beverages. There is a toilet as well.

I'm in Rome eating pizza. Does it get better than that? In between sightseeing stops (Vatican City!) , it was time for lunch. Alice is pretty standard for these quick eats. Pick your pizza from the several types on display, describe a size and your pizza is priced by weight. Heated up and ready to go in a small shop that is not designed for lingering. Perfectly okay with me. I chose a simple pizza with red sauce, fresh tomatoes, ricotta cheese and fresh basil. With a beer on the side, it was a perfect meal. Delicious and fresh and quite inexpensive. Yum! Note that there are multiple Alice Pizzas in this area. I was at the one on Fabio Massimo, not the one on Via delle Grazie.

A great little place just far enough away from the tourist traps of the Vatican. The pizza is tasty and fresh, made in the pizza alla romana style, which has a satisfying crunch (scrocchiarella). The service is polite and fast and the price is reasonable. The seating area is small, but since it's a place where people eat and go, you'll usually find a seat fairly quickly. The zucchini and burrata was superb.
